About this item
- Polish-made leather strop for knife sharpening, handcrafted with high-quality 3mm vegetable leather from the Podhale region. Handle made from Carpathian Mountains Beechwood. FSC certified wood from a well-managed forest is used. Creates a premium sharpening strop for knives and razors.
- Large size and ample working surface for flexible blade polishing. Total length of 320mm and width of 60mm. Working area measures 206mm in length and 56mm in width. Double-sided paddle strop offers smooth and rough leather options.
- Versatile and user-friendly. Apply your preferred polishing compound on one or both sides of the strop. Most customers use white compounds on the rough side and green compounds on the smooth side. Coarser or finer grit can be chosen based on preference. The smooth side can be left compound-free for ultra-fine touch-ups. Always strop after sharpening with low pressure, maintaining the same or slightly shallower sharpening angle.
- Suitable for honing/buffing straight razors, chisels, hunting knives, pocket knives, and various other tools that require a sharp edge.
- Includes special honing compounds. Softening balm and four different grits of Bacher polishing compound are provided. Designed for use on leather belts and strops. The balm conditions the leather with the addition of lanoline and beeswax. Each compound weighs 7g (1/4 oz) and comes in the following grain sizes: Red 2000 (medium), White 5000 (fine), Green 8000 (very-fine), Black 12000 (ultra-fine).
